Where water shows up on a ceiling is rarely where the leak originates. Water infiltrates through a roofing defect, travels horizontally through insulation or along the deck, and drips down at a different location. Patching based only on the interior drip location almost never stops the leak. We use systematic investigative methods — tracing water paths, probing suspected areas, and using infrared thermography when needed — to locate the actual defect before any repair work begins.
