Site Clearing & Preparation
Complete site clearing, demolition, and preparation for new construction — getting your site from raw land or existing improvements to ready-to-build condition.
Clearing Is Where Projects Start — and Where Problems Begin
Site clearing looks simple — remove everything that's there. In practice, it requires careful coordination with underground utility locating, identification and preservation of protected vegetation, compliance with stormwater permit requirements, and proper disposal of demolished materials. We coordinate with New Mexico 811 for utility locating, comply with Bernalillo County and municipal requirements for vegetation removal, and manage debris disposal responsibly.
- New Mexico 811 utility locating coordination before any excavation or grading
- Native plant identification and salvage compliance with New Mexico Department of Agriculture
- SWPPP BMP installation before clearing begins — required by NMED General Permit
- Debris haul-off and disposal, or on-site chipping for groundcover where permitted

New Mexico Environmental & Soil Compliance
New Mexico law requires salvage of certain native plants before clearing — saguaro cactus, palo verde, and other protected species cannot simply be cleared. We identify protected vegetation on your site, coordinate with the New Mexico Department of Agriculture for required plant salvage permits, and ensure clearing complies with New Mexico Native Plant Law before a single blade of equipment touches your site.
