Asphalt Patching & Repair
Full-depth and surface asphalt patching for base failures, utility cuts, and deteriorated sections — permanent repairs using hot mix asphalt and proper compaction.
Patching Done Right, Once
Asphalt patching is often performed incorrectly — insufficient depth, cold mix material, no tack coat, improper compaction — resulting in patches that fail in the first New Mexico summer. We perform asphalt patching using hot mix asphalt, proper edge preparation, tack coat on all bonding surfaces, and sufficient compaction to achieve density matching the surrounding pavement. Our patches last.
- Saw-cut boundaries for all patches — clean edges essential for bond durability
- Full-depth patching when base failure is the root cause of surface deterioration
- Tack coat application to all vertical and horizontal bonding surfaces
- Utility cut restoration with compaction testing documentation for permit closeout

Utility Cut Restoration
Utility cuts through existing pavement — for water, sewer, gas, and electrical work — are a major source of pavement deterioration when not properly restored. We restore utility cuts with proper base compaction, asphalt base course, and surface course that matches the surrounding pavement thickness and grade. We also handle trench compaction testing documentation required by many jurisdictions.
