Roof Flashing Installation
Professional roof flashing for parapet walls, penetrations, HVAC curbs, and edge metal — the critical details where 90% of commercial roof leaks originate.
Flashings Are Where Roofs Fail
Over 90% of commercial roof leaks originate at flashings — not in the field membrane. Parapet wall base flashings, pipe penetration flashings, HVAC curb flashings, drain flashings, and edge metal terminations are all transition points where the membrane system must make a watertight transition to another surface. Improperly installed or deteriorated flashings allow water infiltration that damages interior spaces and structural components. We treat flashing installation as the most critical phase of any roofing project.
- Membrane pipe boot flashings for all roof penetrations — heat-welded to field membrane
- HVAC equipment curb flashings with proper membrane-to-curb transition details
- Parapet wall base flashings extending minimum 8 inches above finished roofing
- Edge metal fascia systems at all roof perimeters with proper membrane termination bar

Membrane Flashings vs. Sheet Metal
Modern TPO and PVC roofing systems use membrane-to-membrane flashings — factory-fabricated or field-fabricated membrane pieces heat-welded to the field membrane at all penetrations and transitions. This creates a completely homogeneous, seamless watertight system. Sheet metal counter-flashings are used at wall terminations where the membrane cannot be mechanically fastened — always with lap sealant and proper anchoring to prevent wind uplift.
