Road Rehabilitation
Structural road rehabilitation for failed pavements — full-depth reclamation, base repair, and reconstruction that restores road integrity without full replacement.
Rehabilitation When Preservation Isn't Enough
Roads that have failed structurally — widespread alligator cracking, base pumping, severe rutting, and pavement sections that are beyond preservation treatment — require rehabilitation. Road rehabilitation involves addressing the structural failure, not just resurfacing over it. Depending on the severity and cause, this may mean full-depth reclamation (FDR) using existing materials, base course removal and replacement, or complete reconstruction.
- Full-depth reclamation (FDR) grinding existing asphalt and base to stabilized layer
- Cement, fly ash, or lime stabilization of reclaimed material for improved bearing capacity
- Removal and replacement of saturated or contaminated base materials where required
- New asphalt surface course to design thickness following base rehabilitation

Full-Depth Reclamation: The Cost-Effective Rehab Method
Full-depth reclamation grinds up existing asphalt and base materials to a specified depth, mixes in stabilizing additives (cement, fly ash, or lime), and recompacts the mixture to create a stabilized base — ready for a new asphalt surface. FDR costs 30–50% less than remove-and-replace reconstruction while producing a stronger, stabilized base that eliminates the root cause of pavement failure.
