TPO Roofing Systems
Heat-welded single-ply thermoplastic membranes with superior UV reflectance, absolute water resistance, and 15–25 year manufacturer warranties.
The Commercial Roofing Standard for Albuquerque
Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) has become the dominant choice for commercial flat and low-slope roofing — and for good reason. Its heat-welded seam technology creates a monolithic, watertight membrane far stronger than adhesive or tape-lap systems. Our GS-21 licensed installers use factory-trained application methods to deliver flawless TPO systems engineered to handle New Mexico's intense UV exposure, seasonal thermal cycling, and occasional heavy rainfall.
- Hot-air welded seams tested with probe to manufacturer standards on every installation
- Mechanically attached, fully adhered, or induction-welded options for any deck type
- Tapered insulation systems engineered for positive drainage — no ponding water
- Energy Star rated — qualifies for utility rebates in PNM and other New Mexico service areas

Why TPO Outperforms on Albuquerque Flat Roofs
TPO's highly reflective white surface reduces rooftop temperatures by up to 50°F, cutting cooling costs significantly — especially critical for warehouses and commercial buildings in Albuquerque's inland heat. Energy Star-rated TPO systems qualify for utility rebates and LEED credits.

TPO System Components
A complete TPO roof is more than a membrane — every layer is engineered for performance.
Mechanically Attached TPO
The most cost-effective installation method for large commercial rooftops. Membranes are fastened to the deck through the insulation, providing proven wind-uplift resistance for flat commercial buildings.
Fully Adhered TPO
Bonded membrane systems that eliminate billowing, provide superior thermal performance, and are the preferred method for high-value properties and buildings with strict aesthetic requirements.
Tapered Insulation Systems
Polyisocyanurate insulation boards cut to create positive slope toward roof drains — eliminating ponding water, the primary cause of premature membrane failure on flat roofs.
Flashings & Penetrations
All parapet walls, HVAC curbs, pipe penetrations, and roof drains receive precision-fabricated TPO flashing details heat-welded to the field membrane — the most critical detail in any flat roof.
TPO Installation Process
Every TPO project follows the same disciplined, documented installation sequence.
Roof Assessment
Core samples, moisture scanning, and structural deck review to assess condition and select the optimal TPO attachment method and insulation specification.
Written assessment report provided before any contract.
Deck Preparation
Tear-off of failed membranes, repair of deteriorated or damaged decking, and installation of new tapered or flat insulation layers per Title 24 and local code.
Haul-off and disposal of all removed materials included.
Membrane Installation
TPO rolls are laid out, lapped to specification, attached per the approved method, and all seams are hot-air welded using approved robotic or hand welders to manufacturer standards.
Seam width and temperature documented per quality log.
Detail Work & Testing
All flashings, edge metal, and penetrations are completed to specification. Every seam is probe-tested, the system is flood-inspected, and the project passes final city inspection.
Test documentation and warranty registration provided to owner.
TPO Roofing FAQ
TPO is the leading choice for most commercial flat roofs in Albuquerque — offices, warehouses, retail, and light industrial. It performs best on low-slope applications. We'll recommend the right membrane after our free inspection.
We install 60-mil TPO as our standard specification (the commercial industry standard), and 80-mil for high-traffic or high-priority buildings. We never install 45-mil membranes, which have a significantly shorter service life.
In some cases, yes — a TPO recover can be installed over a single existing membrane layer if the deck is sound and the existing insulation isn't saturated. Our core sample inspection determines feasibility.
